True North is proud that many of our wilderness medicine courses are approved for continuing education credits to help you maintain and enhance your professional certification.
True North is an accredited training center of the Pennsylvania Department of Health. Our credits may be used by Emergency Medical Responders (EMR), Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT), Paramedics, and Prehospital RNs (PHRN) to maintain their professional certification. Due to reciprocity amongst the various states, these credits may also apply to your respective certification, but please check with your Department of Health.

For EMS providers, these courses also qualify for National Registry of EMT credits. For those licensed in other states, these course may also qualify, but please contact the National Registry to confirm.

True North is also a proud affiliate of the Wilderness Medical Society (WMS). So our courses provide credits to those healthcare professionals, including physicians, PAs, and nurses, who are candidates in its Fellow of the Academy of Wilderness Medicine (FAWM). These courses provide a mix of core and elective credits.
